Dr. Richard J. Rogers

DMD

Dr. Richard J. Rogers has proudly served the Destin community since 1991, providing trusted dental care backed by decades of clinical experience. A graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry, Dr. Rogers has completed advanced training in restorative and occlusal dentistry, allowing him to deliver precise, long-lasting results tailored to each patient’s needs.

He is a graduate of the renowned L.D. Pankey Institute and has completed extensive coursework in temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and occlusion through the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study. Committed to staying at the forefront of modern dentistry, Dr. Rogers pursues ongoing post-doctoral education each year to continually refine his skills and incorporate the latest advancements in dental care.

Dr. Rogers is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Northwest Florida District Dental Association, L.D. Pankey Alumni Association, American Prosthodontic Society, and the American Equilibration Society, reflecting his dedication to professional excellence and collaboration within the dental community.

A lifelong member of the Emerald Coast, Dr. Rogers is a graduate of Choctawhatchee High School and now lives in Destin with his wife, Peggy. He enjoys spending time with their three children—Stephen, Kathryn, and Jason—and their grandson, Colton. When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Rogers can often be found on the golf course or enjoying a game of basketball.

Dr. Taylor Mercke

DMD

Dr. Taylor Mercke is a proud Gulf Coast native with more than 12 years of clinical experience, dedicated to creating beautiful, healthy smiles through a personalized, relationship-first approach. By combining her cosmetic expertise with a commitment to truly understanding her patients’ needs, she partners with each individual to deliver results that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Dr. Mercke earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville and holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Georgia. Driven by compassion and a lifelong pursuit of excellence, she remains at the forefront of modern dentistry through ongoing continuing education, ensuring her patients benefit from the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques.

She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Okaloosa/Walton County Dental Society.

Throughout her career, Dr. Mercke has developed extensive expertise in a wide range of dental procedures, including clear aligner orthodontic therapy—where she has achieved Gold Tier Provider status with Invisalign. Her skill set also includes cosmetic dentistry, full-mouth restorations, root canal therapy, Botox for TMD, implant restorations, and more.

Dr. Mercke and her husband, Bill, have boy-girl twins who keep their hands (and hearts) full. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
